Pandawara Group, which consists of five young people from Bandung, named Muchamad Ikhsan, Gilang Rahma, Agung Permana, Rafly Pasya, and dan Rifki Sa’dulah. The term pandawa refers to the ancient 5 siblings, the protagonists in the epic of Mahabharata. Pandawara is known for their actions in cleaning up trash in rivers and beaches that are notoriously dirty due to the impact of littering. Pandawara was started because these five youths did not feel comfortable with their own residence which was often flooded every rainy season. This made them agree to investigate the cause of the flooding and they found that the reason was garbage that clogged the river. After finding out about this, they decided to form a group to voluntarily clean up the waste and record their actions.

Initially, they only did this action with five of them, but gradually they realized that for the rivers and beaches to be free from waste, they must also educate and invite local residents to participate in their actions. At least until now, many rivers and beaches that were previously named the dirtiest rivers and beaches in Indonesia have become cleaner because of their actions with the help of local residents to clean up garbage and preserve the environment. Their activism is being watched by their 3.4 million Instagram followers.
