As brilliant and ambitious as always, Balinese artist I Nyoman Nuarta expressed his deep thoughts and reflections in a work titled Rush Hour V. This material art depicts several people riding bicycles in the morning. This may be about the society of the mid-1900s. The wind lines–Nuarta’s famous trademark–are created to reflect motion and speed. It can be seen that while cycling, some people are talking to each other, a phenomenon that is rarely seen these days because the streets are already filled with cars or online taxis.

Rush Hour V is a story about the lives of the working class who are crushed and forced to move by the power of capital. The artwork is presented at NuArt Sculpture Park, his sole-owned exhibition site, in Bandung, Indonesia.
